Alex Poatan is still waiting for his next UFC rival. But it was an old adversary of the Brazilian who almost ended up causing a riot this Thursday (5), at the Performance Institute run by the organization.

The profile ‘Full Send MMA’ published a video of a meeting between Poatan and Hill inside the Institute. In it, the American approached the light heavyweight champion and, when he tried to greet him, was met with taunts, which immediately began to heat up with the two arguing bitterly.

The discussion reached such a point that the Brazilian even asked the American to “put on his gloves”, indicating that he wanted to do “sparring”. When it looked like the situation might escalate into a physical confrontation, one of UFC light heavyweight champion Plínio Cruz’s trainers stepped in and tried to cool the atmosphere at the Performance Institute.

But things flared up again in social media posts, in which the Brazilian and American stepped up their taunts, which has seen their rivalry reign since the heavyweight champion’s victory at UFC 300.

– Calm down, my son. Pass the test and ‘dad’ will give you a second chance,” Poatan wrote, citing the fight Hill is scheduled to have in January against Jiri Prochazka

– Funny how you went after (Khalil) Rountree and idiot Jiri like you were the ‘guy’, but against me you had to wait for the ref to step in to throw the punch. You’ll see me again when I’m 100% and we all know you’re taking meds,” Hill responded
