The indication for motorists is to follow Cristiano Fischer, turn right onto Ipiranga and take Guilherme Alves.
The Circulation and Public Transport Company (EPTC) informs that the Third Perimetral will undergo traffic variations starting from Tuesday 10th, at 7.00 am. The change is caused by the start of another phase of interconnection works between the water supply systems of Menino Deus and Moinhos de Vento.
The teams will work on the construction of a new pipeline in Ivo Corseuil street, which will be blocked in both directions at the corner of Saicã. Winston Churchill will also have a traffic break, starting with Prof. Cristiano Fischer, to minimize the traffic conflict at José Carvalho Bernardes’ kneecap.
The indication for motorists is to follow Cristiano Fischer, turn right onto Ipiranga and take Guilherme Alves. EPTC inspection officers will be present at blocked spots to guide drivers. According to the DMAE, the works will not lead to water shortages.
Public transport – Due to the blockages, line 473 will change its route. In the direction of the downtown neighborhood, the detour will take place through Jerusalem, Cristiano Fischer and Protásio Alves. In the direction of the centre-district, it will travel along Protasio Alves, São Mateus and Aneron Corrêa de Oliveira.
Work – The interconnection of the Menino Deus and Moinhos de Vento water supply systems aims to minimize supply fluctuations in the upper parts of Porto Alegre. At the end of the interventions the systems will be able to feed each other if necessary.
The beneficiary areas include parts of Lomba do Pinheiro and Morro da Cruz, as well as other regions in the North and East. The investment is R$5.2 million, with DMAE’s own resources. Completion of the works is expected by the end of the year.
