In the weeks leading up to the last holiday of the year, TMC continues to offer new Christmas TV movies every day to get us in the mood. And Once, the channel will bring you this Sunday, December 8 at 1.50pm, just before Christmas, which celebrates the reunion of Terri Hatcher and James Denton on Desperate Housewives.
When Teri Hatcher and James Denton fall in love again
Ethan Holt (James Denton) is a project manager for a large real estate construction company in Bellingham. He works with Sean Doyle, a senior executive who doesn’t shy away from using questionable methods to win contracts. Shawn asks Ethan to threaten Lottie Feldman, a newsboy who refuses to budge when a developer wants to tear down the entire neighborhood where his store is located.
Joyce (Terri Hatcher), Ethan’s wife, reminds him that on December 24th, exactly twenty years have passed since they met in a broken elevator where they were stuck for four hours.
They plan to celebrate when Ethan returns from his company Christmas party. But first, he still has to make a detour to put pressure on Lottie Feldman, which Joyce doesn’t like.
The latter also states that now that their adopted children have grown up, she wants to resume her studies as a lawyer. But it’s expensive and Ethan shies away from his project. Then he regrets his choice. She told herself that if she had been less kind and taken the elevator with Sean instead of Joyce, her life would have been very different.
Santa, listening to his wish, grants it: Ethan wakes up on December 1st and is no longer the 24th, he’s the co-owner and CEO of Doyle & Holt… but he’s not married to Joyce.
Love at first sight before Christmas: our review
If Thunderbolt Before Christmas isn’t a Christmas TV movie that revolutionizes the genre, it still remains an enjoyable piece of fiction that fans will appreciate. We are delighted to find the Terri Hatcher/James Denton duo. More than a decade after the series ended, the two will star again in this touching romantic comedy, and their on-screen chemistry is undeniable.
Even if the formula is well established and some passages are full of good feelings, the story remains painful, especially when the character played by Denton gradually forgets the family he had in parallel life and offers small surprises that allow love at first. A show before Christmas to stand out from the competition.
In short, this Christmas TV movie, which does not lack originality, will delight fans of the genre, who will find in it all the codes of a good Christmas fiction.
Catch Love at One Sight before Christmas this Sunday, December 8 from 1:50 PM on TMC. The TV movie is available for free on the TF1+ platform.
