Is the streaming era coming to an end? A survey carried out by Adyen, a company specializing in electronic payments, revealed that many Brazilians intend to cancel their streaming subscriptions next year.

According to the work, changes in platforms could cause the loss of customers. These measures include restrictions on password sharing and price increases for services.

According to the Adyen Index – Digital Report 202439% of those interviewed intend to cancel at least one subscription in the next 12 months. Two thousand consumers and 400 digital companies in Brazil participated in the survey.

According to the company specializing in electronic payments, users sign up, on average, to three different platforms. And the main reason for the cancellations would be to reduce expenses.

Also according to the survey, this could mean a serious blow for very popular companies in the segment, such as Netflix, Prime Video, Max and Disney+. Adyen therefore underlines the need for these companies to offer personalized services so that their subscriptions are not among those cancelled.
