End of the mystery! Viewers will be able to officially go ‘to infinity and beyond’ right from their home, starting next month. lightyear (2022) finally got a premiere date on a streaming. The film will arrive Disney+ on August 3, nearly two months after its theatrical release.
lightyear is Pixar’s first film since Two Brothers: A Fantastic Journey (2020) to have an exclusive theatrical release, opening to No. 2 at the box office in its first weekend. soul (2021) luca (2021) and Red: Growing up is a Beast (2022) made premieres restricted to the Disney+.

The production follows the legendary space ranger after being abandoned on an uninhabited planet 4.2 million light years from Earth alongside his commander and his team. While buzz tries to find a way back home, the special patrolman has to deal with Zurgan imposing and evil presence, and its army of ruthless robots.
