Jim Carrey revealed that he decided to star in the third film in the franchise Sonic because he “needs the money”. Sonic 3 – The Movie arrives in Brazilian cinemas on December 25th.
In 2022, the year in which Sonic 2 – The Movie was released, the actor told Access Hollywood (via NME) who considered retiring.
During the premiere of the most recent feature film, in the United Kingdom, this Tuesday, the 10th, however, the actor was questioned by Associated Press about why he agreed to play Dr. Robotnik again.
“I came back to this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genius, which is a bit exaggerated,” he joked. “And, you know, I bought a lot of things and, frankly, I need the money.”
He further added: “That may have been hyperbole.”
