While the biopic dedicated to the singer Elvis Presley, signed by Baz Luhrmann, is approaching a million in France, focus on the grandson of the king, who, like him, has moved on to an acting career.

Elvis Presley was married to Priscilla Presley for a long time before their divorce was announced in October 1973. Their union gave birth to a daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on February 1, 1968. Once the latter came of age in 1985, he met musician Danny Keo. The couple married three years later and had Daniel Riley Keough, better known as Riley Keough, King’s grandson, on May 29, 1989.

Riley began her career as a model at the age of 14 before being hired in 2010 to star in The Runaways, a biopic about the youth of rock singers Joan Jett and Cherie Carr. She answers Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.

She gets her first role in Jack and Diane opposite Juno Temple, then appears in front of the cameras of George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road), Andrea Arnold (American Honey), Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike, Logan Luke) or Lars Von. Trier (The House That Jack Built).

We find her starring in the series The Girlfriend Experience, then in independent cinema (Dixieland, Under The Silver Lake, Zola). In 2019, he headlined the horror film The Lodge, which also stars his father Danny.

In 2021, Riley Keogh also tried his hand at directing, co-directing Beast, which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022. Set on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation (South Dakota), his film tells the story of the transition. The coming of age of two young men who try to escape it, even if it means falling into lawlessness.
