To rob the casino, they need the help of Rudy, whose knowledge of the establishment is vital to the success of the plan. Should Rudy come to terms with his criminal past or fight Gabriel and his henchmen alone?

In the early 2000s, Ben Affleck and Charlize Theron were the new rising stars of Hollywood. The first broke through thanks to Armageddon with Bruce Willis, the second impressed in The Devil’s Partner with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves. In addition, we had a great director at the helm, John Frankenheimer, to whom we owe especially Un Crime dans la tête, Grand Prix, French Connection 2 and Ronin.

Unfortunately, despite the filmmaker’s talents in the action/thriller genre, he fails to elevate Fatal Trap above combat, delivering a Die Hard-inspired work without much bulk. Result: The film would be a dismal failure at the worldwide box office collecting only $32 million for an estimated budget of $42 million.
