The Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrested, on Saturday afternoon (21st), a drug dealer who was transporting 1,018 kilos of marijuana hidden in the cargo compartment of a Doblo van. The approach took place in Ronda Alta, towards Sarandi towards BR 386, north of Rio Grande do Sul.
Having learned that a Doblò was being used to transport illicit goods, federal agents ordered the driver of the vehicle to stop and, during a search of the vehicle, found the drugs packed in packages in the cargo compartment.
The driver, 28 years old, from Passo Fundo, already had a criminal record for carrying a weapon, and informed that he would bring the marijuana to Passo Fundo.
The criminal was arrested in the act and taken, together with the vehicle and the seized drugs, to the Carazinho Judicial Police.
