The Compadecida Auto 2sequel to the 1999 miniseries, marking the reunion of João Grillo AND Chico more than twenty years after the events of the first film, will be released in Brazilian cinemas starting this Wednesday, December 25th.
What is the story of The Compadecida Auto 2?
In the new, after rising from the dead, João Grillo (Matheus Nachtergaele, City of God) is raised to the rank of saint and begins to be disputed Arlindo (Eduardo Sterblitch, Great Sertao), who wants divine support to gain a political position in Taperoá. However, all the attention also attracts the wrong people, which leads the deceased ex to carry on Chico (Selton Mello, I’m still here) in a new adventure.
