The new lawsuit details the alleged plot to defame Blake Lively

The allegations against Justin Baldoni include moral and sexual harassment and attempts to destroy the actress’s reputation

Points of warning to the defamation campaign

Steph Jones, owner of the consultancy firm Jonesworks, filed a lawsuit this Wednesday (25/12) Justin Baldoni, actor and director of “É Assim Que Acaba”. The lawsuit alleges breach of contract and presents new details about an alleged smear campaign against actress Blake Lively, the film’s star.

The contract between Jonesworks and Baldoni’s Wayfarer studio was terminated in August, months after the signing. According to the indictment, Jennifer Abel, Baldoni’s former consultant, left Jonesworks to open her own company, taking away the client and confidential documents.

Steph Jones claims that Jennifer Abel and Melissa Nathan, of the TAG agency, participated in the development of a strategy to tarnish Blake Lively’s image if she reported the harassment she suffered during the recording of “É Assim Que Acaba”. The case was reported in a lawsuit filed last Saturday (12/21) by Blake Lively. The retrial came about because current consultants blamed Jones. “Now as their misconduct comes to light, Abel and Nathan continue to falsely accuse Jones, defaming her to the industry,” the document reads.

Blake Lively has reported harassment

In her lawsuit against Baldoni, Blake Lively accused her colleague and director of sexual harassment and attempting to destroy her reputation. The trial also involves Jamey Heath, the film’s producer.

According to the actress, Baldoni and Heath violated her boundaries with inappropriate comments, questions about her body and inappropriate discussions about intimate topics. Lively also reportedly requested that both of them not show any nude videos or images, or include any new sex scenes in the film, beyond what was already in the script.

The messages indicate a plan against Blake

A New York Times report revealed text messages and emails that the indictment alleges highlight a smear campaign orchestrated by Baldoni and Heath. The strategy included methods to attack Lively in a way that was “undetectable in the digital age.”

The studio’s lawyer refuted the allegations, stating that “no proactive retaliation was made” against the actress. However, the lawyer himself claims to have reputation problems. The note accuses the new lawsuit of being a “desperate attempt to ‘fix’ the actress’s negative reputation.”

It’s worth pointing out that nothing was ever said about Lively’s conduct before the lawsuit came to light. And after the insinuations began, the actress received solidarity from several Hollywood figures, with public messages of support from America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel, her co-stars in the film “Four Friends and Jeans Traveling “, and director Paul Feig. who directed her in “A Small Favor.” Furthermore, Amber Heard, currently resident in Spain, also intervened in the case, denouncing that the public relations agency TAG hired by Baldoni to defame Lively was the same one that had destroyed her reputation on orders from Johnny Depp.
