Background
After the failed attempt to create a DC Comics cinematic universe under the command of Zack Snyder, similar to the one established by Marvel with the Avengers, Warner Bros. has decided to reboot its strategy for DC superheroes.
James Gunn has been hired as creative CEO to lead this new venture. Gunn is a director and screenwriter renowned for his work in genres such as adventure, action and horror, always with a touch of comedy and pop references.
He rose to prominence with Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy, featuring a charismatic team, clever humor and impactful action scenes.
Before taking over the DC universe, Gunn directed “The Suicide Squad” for Warner Bros., using a similar approach to his previous films. With the end of his contract with Marvel, he was tasked with rebooting the DC Universe in theaters. The starting point of this new universe will be the greatest superhero of all: Superman.

Directed by James Gunn, who also wrote the film’s screenplay. Cinematography is by Henry Braham, known for his work with Gunn on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and 3” and the DC Studios film “The Flash.” The soundtrack is composed by John Murphy, who also collaborated with Gunn on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3” and “The Suicide Squad.”

Other characters include Rick Flag Sr. (from the animated film “Creature Commandos”). Krypto, Superman’s Kryptonian dog, will also have a prominent role. There’s also a villain who we don’t know exactly who he is. Many fans believe he is Ultraman.
