The Stickel Foundation turns 70 on December 31st


The institution celebrates seventy years of uninterrupted activity




December 31st Stickel Foundationreference in actions with social and cultural impact, celebrates 70 years of transformative history. Founded in 1954 by the couple Martha Diederichsen Stickel and Erico João Siriuba Stickel, it has established itself as a pillar in promoting social inclusion, education and cultural valorization in the city of São Paulo.

In its early years, the Stickel Foundation provided charitable services, helping families in need. From 2004 onwards, under the direction of Fernando Stickel, the institution adopted the pillar of art as a means to continue playing its role in building a more just society with greater opportunities for all.

The Stickel Foundation is dedicated to strengthening communities through initiatives that integrate art, education and human development. Actions with a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people whose potential has been awakened through direct contact with art in our courses and activities. Among the projects highlighted are photography workshops, design competitions, art exhibitions and cultural programs aimed at training young people and adults in vulnerable situations.

An impactful legacy

Over the course of seven decades, the institution has served thousands of people, always with a commitment to transforming lives through innovative and accessible projects. The Stickel Foundation is recognized for its work in the capital’s suburban neighborhoods, operations that expanded in 2024 to the coast of São Paulo, creating more bridges between human potential and opportunity. There are free courses, exhibitions, competitions, educational and other actions. Which are only possible with the participation of every student, every educator, partner and donor who accompany this journey of art and transformation.

In 2025, the exhibition season of the Espaço Fundação Stickel begins on February 1st with the inauguration of the exhibition of the winning posters of the competition Poster competition 2.
