As Artus quickly stated when accompanying the release of his successful comedy, he does not intend to issue a sequel to Un P’tit truc en plus, but to change the register of the comics, moving towards the world that he gave us to see. In the theater!

As Artus sums it up, Duels à Davidéjonatown presents itself as “A slightly crazy westernDuring our meeting to promote the animated film Croquette, Artus told us that it was a Western in the tradition of Mel Brooks cinema.

I dream of making a Mel Brooks movie.

“For my next film, I want to make a crazy western. I’m in the process of writing it. I don’t have casting yet, I don’t have a story, I just want to travel the world we have. We don’t see it often enough. I dream about making a Mel Brooks-style film. The sheriff is in jail. These are somewhat crazy movies. I have 2-3 other ways but I think this is what will happen. There is a 90% chance that I will make this film.”

His projects as an actor in 2025

Artus will be seen on the big screen in Antoine Chevrolet’s La Pampa, which hits theaters on February 5, 2025. Presented at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival Critics’ Week, the film is directed by Amory Foucher. and Sayyid El Alam. They play Willy and Jojo, two childhood friends who never leave each other. Adapted from Laurent Gaudi’s novel of the same name, Olivier De Mangel’s feature film is set in the year 2045. Paris is divided into zones that separate social classes and are controlled by AI-Alma. Artus will also be in the cast of Christophe Baratier’s (Les Choristes) new film, Les Enfants de la resistance. A role for which, as he tells us, he will grow a mustache. Adapted from the successful comic book by Benoît Ers and Vincent Dugommier, the film adapts two albums and, if successful, could be followed by another adaptation.
