After hitting Prime Video in 2023 — even the biggest hit in the platform’s history for a local original film in a non-English language — the Against the Senses franchise is back for a second installment available on the streaming service.
Fans can see the continuation of the action-packed, high-drama sensual romance between Noah (Nicole Wallace) and Nick (Gabriel Guevara) in Go Against the Grain 2.
In this sequel to the already No. 1 platform Top Views, their relationship undergoes a dramatic change as those around them (from their own family, new acquaintances and people from the past) will do anything to separate them.
The two lovers no longer understand each other and are unable to move forward together as they both have different projects and trajectories leading to the painful end of their relationship. So what’s next for Noah and Nick?
The third movie “against the mind” is ready!
In case you’re wondering, know that the third film “against opinion” is well planned and it’s almost ready! Actress Nicole Wallace explained this to AlloCiné“Make the second and third films one after the other”.
“The third movie is my favorite”he promises “The whole aesthetic of the movie is very different from the first two, and there are a lot of different locations. The story is a little more emotionally and dramatically mature. There’s also a time jump, which I think is relevant and you will be able to see the evolution of Nick and Noah.”
It was a real challenge for the actor, who compared the experience to that of a TV series, in which time jumping or development is more practical than in a film: “To not only do an arc in each film, but from the first to the third and seeing the character really grow, that’s a very fun and rewarding part of the experience.”
First information on “Against Sens 3”.
The third film is titled Against the Sense 3 (Culpa Nuestra in the original version) and is adapted from the third book in the literary trilogy of the same name by Mercedes Rohn, from which the film franchise developed and directed by Domingo Gonzalez is based.
As of now, Prime Video has yet to release the first images or the official synopsis for this third film, but we can refer to the novel to get our first idea of the events of this final installment:
“How far are Nick and Noah willing to go? Their relationship is at its worst and it looks like it will never be the same again. They’re going to have to go through a lot to finally find out if it’s true or not. They have to be there for each other or break up.” There is something that really suits them, but can we forget such a strong love?
As for the casting, we imagine that the lead actor will return. Thus we have to find Marta Hazas and Ivan Sánchez in the roles of Rafaela and William, their parents, as well as Victor Varona who plays Leo and Eva Ruiz who plays Jenna.
In addition, new faces from the second installment should also be part of the gang, such as Goya Toledo (Veneno) as Annabelle, Gabriela Andrada (Heirs of Earth) as Sofia, Alex Bejar (Elite) Braar, Javier Morgade (Desaparecidos) as Michael and Felipe Londonio (Entrevias) in the role of Luke.
