The victims, aged between 10 and 14, were identified during preventive patrolling
Friday 27th the Aviation Command Military Police saved four children, aged between 10 and 14, who were drowning in Praia das Toninhas, a Ubatubaon the north coast of Sao Paulo. The operation was supported by the Águia 7 helicopter, during preventive patrolling.
The recorded images show the children trying to get out of the water, but without success due to the waves and current. Then, two lifeguards dive into the sea with life jackets and manage to reach them, guiding them to the strip of sand.
In a note, the Public Security Secretariat informs that preventive patrolling, which has teams of lifeguards, helicopters and other resources to monitor risk areas and act quickly in dangerous situations, intensifies during the summer due to the increase of the number of bathers.
“All victims were safely rescued and taken to the sandbar, where they received adequate care,” the Prime Minister said.
