Netflix is ​​currently home to one of the best teen comedies in the history of the genre: Clueless, which was a critical and public success when it debuted 29 years ago, and which teenagers back then, now parents, seem to have. passed on to their children.

History

When she’s not at school, Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) goes shopping with her best friend Donny (Stacey Dash). She meets Josh (Paul Rudd), the son of her father’s second wife, a wealthy lawyer from Beverly Hills. When the latter, an idealist and environmentalist, mocks Sherry’s selfishness, she decides to do good around him.

The interest of Clueless, and what makes it timeless, lies in Cher Horowitz’s writing of the character, who has a shallow and distracted high school girl archetype that turns out to be much more complex as the film progresses.
