During New Year’s week, between December 30th and January 3rd, the Afternoon Session of Rede Globo presents a special program with films for the whole family.

1. Monday, 12/30: Eight Women and a Secret

Synopsis: Women’s 8 follows Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), recently released from prison, who soon seeks out her ex-partner Lou (Cate Blanchett) to carry out an elaborate heist: stealing a diamond necklace worth US$150 million, which Cartier always keeps it in a safe. The plan is to convince the company to lend it so that star Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway) can wear the jewel at the trendy Met Gala, one of the most chic and eye-catching events in New York. To this end, Debbie and Lou assemble a team made up of all women: Nine Ball (Rihanna), Amita (Mindy Kaling), Constance (Awkwafina), Rose (Helena Bonham Carter) and Tammy (Sarah Paulson).

2. Tuesday, 12/31: Frozen 2

Synopsis: In the plot of Frozen 2, back to Elsa and Anna’s childhood, the two sisters discover a story about their father, when he was still prince of Arendelle. He tells the girls the story of a visit to the forest of the elements, where an unexpected event would have caused the city’s inhabitants to separate from the four fundamental elements: air, fire, earth and water. This revelation will help Elsa understand the origin of her powers.

3. Wednesday, 01/01: A Pinch of Luck

Synopsis: In Uma Pinch of Luck, Pérola (Fabiana Karla) is a children’s party entertainer who dreams of becoming a renowned chef. She is an extroverted woman and works two shifts, one as a children’s party entertainer at her mother Gina’s (Jandira Martini) company and the other as an assistant at a restaurant in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, but she despises her work. She just hasn’t left yet to make her dream come true because she wants to please her mother and family. Dreaming of having her own cooking business, her “pinch of luck” comes when she is approved to be an assistant to a famous chef on a television program, Diego (Ivan Espeche), who, in addition to being famous and successful, the Argentinean man It’s extremely beautiful (and seductive), which makes the work easier. Pérola also has the help of her brother, Fred (JP Rufino), and her best friend, Lugão (Mouhamed Harfouch), who hides his passion for her.

4. Thursday, 02/01: On the Way Home

One day, she is found lost on the street by animal control and ends up being taken to a shelter 400 miles away from her owner. But Bella’s surprising loyalty encourages her to begin a long and lonely journey home, touching everyone who crosses her path.

5. Friday, 03/01: Dollitle

Synopsis: Dr. Dolittle lives surrounded by animals with which he can communicate. When he visits Queen Victoria, who is sick, he sees that the only way to save her is to venture across the seas in search of a cure.
