In the film, a young couple who got together when they were still young have a child and separate after two years. After being separated for three months, they plan to meet again and decide, for two hours, to play a truth game about everything that has happened to them throughout their lives, in a kind of filmed psychoanalysis.
For his performance, Fernanda Torres received the award for best female performance at Cannes, becoming the first Brazilian actress to achieve the feat. That year, the Brazilian Sonia Braga (Nighthawk) was part of the festival jury.
