The family claims the young man suffers from mental health problems and denies the allegations against the billionaire
CEO of OpenAi, Sam Altmann took to social media this Tuesday, the 7th, to release a statement defending herself against sexual abuse allegations raised by her younger sister, Annie Altman. The statement is also signed by the billionaire’s mother and brothers who describe Annie as a person with “mental health problems”.
According to information from the North American newspaper Saint Louis Post Dispatch, on Monday 8th Annie opened a criminal case against her brother. In the documents, the young woman describes sexual abuse that occurred over nine years and which began in childhood, when she was three years old. The episodes would have involved post-traumatic disorders and physical injuries.
In a note published in a post on X, formerly Twitter, Altman, along with his mother Connie and his brothers Max and Jack, say the allegations are “deeply hurtful and totally false.” The family confirms the opening of the trial and regrets the current state of health of the young woman.
“This situation causes immense pain to our entire family. It is especially distressing when she refuses conventional care and lashes out at family members who are actually trying to help her,” the statement read.

This is not the first time Annie has accused family members of sexual assault. In publications on X, the young woman had already made public accusations against her brothers.
“I was sexually, physically, emotionally, verbally, financially, and technologically abused by my biological siblings, especially Sam Altman,” one of the posts read. “I firmly believe that other people have also been abused by these criminals,” he adds.
The lawsuit filed by Annie this week seeks payment of $75,000.
