In her message, Jill reveals that the boy’s name is Frederick and that they chose that name because she closely resembles that of her husband Derick. You know, just with a “Fre” slapped on the front. In it, the family also wrote about the pregnancy session after the baby was born. They provided an update on little Freddy’s name, even though his full name is “Freddy” Frederick Michael Dillard, noting that he was born the day before his other child, Samuel’s birthday. His birth means that the family has “enlarged” his “tribe of children”. According to the announcement:
Mom and baby are doing well and we have been so blessed with the support of friends and family who have come to help, provide meals and care for the older children during this transition and recovery period.
Jill and Derick Dillard married in 2014 and have welcomed three children since. Their son Israel was born on April 6, 2015 and their son Samuel was born on July 8, 2017. Frederick is their rainbow baby, born on July 7, 2022.
The couple had been on a six-week hiatus as they welcomed the baby into the world. The first photo is particularly poignant given that Jill suffered a miscarriage in 2021 in early pregnancy. They shared their sincere journey with this situation in the family blog and they were thrilled when they found out they were pregnant again.
