Ryan Reynolds was involved in Baldoni’s lawsuit in response to Blake Lively’s accusations
Justin Baldoni is looking for evidence for his case against Blake Lively. The actor and director of This Is How It Ends sent a letter to the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feigeand the CEO of Disney, Bob Igerasking them to preserve documents that mention it.
The request, according to the magazine Peoplerequests “any and all documents related to the development of the Nicepool character” and “communications related to the development, writing and filming of plots and scenes involving Nicepool.”
Baldoni and his legal team believe that the character Nicepool, developed and played by Ryan Reynoldshusband of Livelyis a parody of itself. Therefore, the actor’s lawyers are seeking documents “related to or reflecting a deliberate attempt to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate or intimidate Baldoni through the character Nicepool”.
In deleted scenes from Deadpool & Wolverinewhich are already circulating on social media, Nicepool — a more pleasant version of Deadpool — criticizes Ladypool’s body, played by Lively. The dialogue would be making reference to the accusations of Lively of what Baldoni made offensive comments about her body.
Ladypool even kills Nicepool, who calls herself a feminist (like Baldoni), in front of a flower shop. The scene would be a mention of the character who Lively interprets in This Is How It Ends. Watch the excerpts below:
The more I learn about Nicepool’s character, the more evident it becomes that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were mocking Justin Baldoni in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. Here are all the scenes where Nicepool is imitating Justin Baldoni 🧵

Justin Baldoni lawsuit
Justin Baldoni filed a US$250 million lawsuit against the The New York Times on the first day of 2025 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The American newspaper was responsible for the publication entitled “We Can Bury Anyone: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine”, which unravels complaints about Blake Lively against the director and co-protagonist of This Is How It Ends (2024).
The parties, which include the film’s producers Jamey Heath and Steve Sarowitzin addition to advertising Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abelclaim that the Teams chose the information in the article “cherry-handedly, altered, devoid of necessary context and deliberately edited to deceive”, according to a document obtained by Variety.
According to the lawsuit, whoever carried out a defamation campaign was Lively against Baldoniusing false “allegations of sexual harassment to assume unilateral control over all aspects of the production” of the feature film.
Also according to the document, the actress’s husband, Ryan Reynoldsaccused Baldoni of fatphobia against his wife during a meeting in New York. Reynolds would also have pressured the BaldoniWME, so that the actor could be dismissed at the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in July 2024.
