Against the Grain: There’s a New Movie Coming… But Not a Sequel Do You Think!

If you’re a fan of the Against the Sense saga, Prime Video has some very good news for you. A new movie in the franchise is coming very soon, but it’s not the third part of the Spanish trilogy you’re expecting!

Against the Senses (Culpa mía original version) is the biggest success in Prime Video history for a local original film in a non-English language and Prime Video has decided to do a British remake! And the platform has released a trailer for this UK version of Mercedes Rohn’s literary series of novels.

Identical British version twice as much À contre-sense

Titled Against the Sense: London, this new film written by Melissa Osborne and directed by Danny Girdwood and Charlotte Fassler follows the same story as the first installment of the original Against of Sense, adapting it to British culture.

The official content leaves no doubt about the plot, which fans of the saga already know well:

When Noah’s mother, Ella, falls in love with the wealthy William, they both leave America and live in London with William and his son Nick. Upon arrival, 18-year-old Noah meets Nick, a bad boy, and they develop an instant attraction.

Noah spends the summer adjusting to his new life, making new friends in Nick’s various circles and continuing to have a complicated relationship with him while struggling to maintain his attraction.

But unbeknownst to Noah, his estranged father has been released from prison and is watching his every move. Noah is finally forced to confront his destructive past when he falls in love for the first time.

Instead of Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara, the roles of Noah and Nick are taken by two British talents. Thus, Asha Banks (Killing Instructions) and Matthew Broom (The Buccaneers) are the two stars of Against the Senses London, which seems to use the same ingredients and the same sexy and exciting atmosphere as the original film.

Even if we can question the interest of such a remake, we imagine fans of the saga will be delighted with a double dose of Against the Sense. And the UK version of Against the Sense: London is entitled to the perfect Valentine’s Day release date, as it will be streaming online on Prime Video on February 13.

Mind Against Mind and Mind Against Mind 2 are available on Prime Video.
