The first half is structured as a police thriller that follows a killer caught between law enforcement and the yakuza, while the second half humorously retells the same story through the use of parody. The Japanese director found the perfect partner in Amazon to test this new genre mix. The latter never hid his desire to make a violent film in which he can integrate a little comedy.
