Every day, AlloCiné recommends watching a movie (again) on TV. Tonight: After “Fast & Furious,” Scott Eastwood smokes again.
The son of actor and director Clint Eastwood and Jessalyn Reeves, a flight attendant with whom the latter had an affair for several years, Scott Clinton Reeves made his film debut under the influence of his father. The young man indeed appears in the memories of our fathers, Gran Torino and Invitus.
Although he received the prestigious name Eastwood, the young man struggled to establish himself in Hollywood. It was in 2015, after the success of the romantic drama Crossroads, that he joined films aimed at the general public, such as Fury, Suicide Squad, Snowden or Live by night.
The aspiring actor then entered the Fast & Furious saga for the eighth part of the adventures of Dominic Toretto and his family as Kurt Russell’s right hand. Shortly after, he continued his momentum with an action film Overdrivein which he plays a car theft expert alongside Freddie Thorpe and Anna De Arma.
The action takes place in Marseille, where screenwriters Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (2 Fast 2 Furious) literally fell in love during their stay in the south of France. Besides, Overdrive Based on the expertise of producer Pierre Morelli (Director of Taken), who called upon his former collaborators to work on the motoring and physical stunt scenes, as well as the special effects. Also note: the presence of French rapper Kaaris in a rather surprising small role.
