Artificial Intelligence: far beyond the technological hype

Summary

Artificial intelligence (AI) represents one of the greatest technological advances, but it needs to be adopted effectively, focusing on impact, ethics and purpose.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is undoubtedly one of the biggest technological advances in recent years. From process automation to creating cinematic videos, it has already proven its ability to transform industries and our daily lives. However, behind all this excitement, an increasingly relevant question looms: How can we break away from the hype and adopt AI in a truly effective way?

If before the conversation was about “who uses AI”, today the question is “how do we use it?” In this case, the focus stops being just innovation for innovation’s sake and focuses on impact, ethics and purpose.

When everyone wants it, but not everyone understands

In recent years, we have seen artificial intelligence used as a sign of innovation. “AI-powered” products were touted as superior, even when the technology made no practical difference. The result? A frantic race for adoption, often without understanding how the technology relates to the real needs of a company.

Rushed adoption can lead to high investments in tools that ultimately do not solve strategic problems. Worse, it can divert attention from simpler, more effective initiatives.

To get out of the hype, you need to change the narrative. AI should be seen as a tool to solve specific problems, not as a universal solution. Start with a simple but powerful question: What problem are we trying to solve?

A clear example comes from the corporate training sector. Companies are applying artificial intelligence to increase efficiency, engagement and knowledge retention. In this case the technology is an extension of the purpose, not a gimmick to appear innovative.

Another critical aspect is ethics. Using AI responsibly means thinking about the impact it will have on people, processes and even society.

Think, plan and execute

Intentionally adopting AI means transforming technology into a strategic ally. And this doesn’t happen by chance. It is necessary:

• Define clear goals: Before implementing any solution, ask yourself: does it solve a real need? Does this connect the company to its purpose?

• Empower people: The best technology in the world is useless without people trained to use it. Training teams to understand and use AI is an essential part of the process.

• Think long term: What technology can do today is important, but what it can do tomorrow is critical. Choose scalable and adaptable solutions.

From hype to real impact

Getting out of the hype means changing your mentality. More than adopting AI to impress, it’s about integrating it in a smart, ethical and connected way with real results.

Ultimately, the real AI revolution will not just be technological. It will be about how we use this technology to have a positive impact on businesses, communities and society as a whole. And this, without a doubt, is a future worth building.
