Fazenda opens a public call to indicate rules harmful to competition

The Ministry of Finance, through the secretariat of economic reforms (SRE), has opened a public appeal to indicate regulatory acts that can produce anti -Non -Non correctors. The warning was published in yesterday’s Official Gazette. Collaborations can be made until February 26, through the participatory platform + Brazil, which can be accessed by: www.gov.br/partorebasil/parc. The suggestions will be considered in the first cycle of the regulatory and competitive evaluation procedure (Parc).

Parc was established at the end of 2024 and has been in force since the beginning of this year. The goal is to become a tool for assessing the infraral rules governing regulatory and competitive issues in Brazil. The program can change or even exclude standards that can cause competitive distortions or have an anti -specific character.

There are forecasts for public consultations in the program. Those who are interested in participation must respond to a questionnaire on the participation platform + Brazil, informing the regulatory tool to be analyzed, the agency in which it has been modified, the history of the regulation, the analysis of the impact, the existing markets, i Products or services Impact, among other questions. The public call also requires a copy of the analysis of the regulatory impact of the regulatory law, a detail of the negative effects of the law and, when possible, the demonstration of the economic impact

The SRE will disseminate the rules that will be analyzed to Parc after the public call is closed within 15 working days. The selection will take into consideration the relevance and public interest of the economic sectors, the potential impact of the measured competition and the existence of the analysis of the competitive impact rendered by the body responsible for the modification of the law before its edition.
