Now all 41 articles of the program are now free in accredited pharmacies. It is therefore estimated that over 1 million people will benefit, in particular the elderly who previously paid the co-party in some products.
People over the age of 60, eligible, can, for example, obtain geriatric diapers for free. The remedies of diabetes associated with cardiovascular diseases will also be offered free of charge. The measure aims to expand the coverage of the program.
“We are adding the geriatric diapers with hand, that is, we are also talking about the aging of the population. I know the true importance of this action, “said Nisia in a declaration on the official website of the Ministry.
The other news is the possibility of accreditation of private pharmacies located in the municipalities that are not yet served by the program. The expectation, therefore, is that the popular pharmacy covers the entire national territory. Currently, the program is present in 4,812 municipalities, with 31 thousand accredited pharmacies.
