The Portuguese, of San Paolo, run the risk of no longer having his SAF (Corporation of Football). According to President Alex Bourgeois, a group of businessmen who hired the club management met the FPF (Paulista Football Federation) to formalize Lusa as Saf, but was not successful.
In fact, an extract from the minutes of the partner assembly, held at the end of 2024 and signed by the president of the body, Marcos Lico, prevents this approval. In the document, the leader requires that the COF (guide and the inspection council) analyzes the request to verify the warnings presented by the agency again. The goal is to obtain a positive opinion for the SAF installation as long as some adjustments are made.
With this impasse, the partners of Tauá, responsible for the administration of SAF, threaten to leave the club. Marcos Lico trusts a positive result, while clinging to six warnings of the contract and awaits the new COF analysis for the meeting to approve the proposal.
Without the recognition of FPF and CBF, the Portuguese SAF cannot record players, receive shares of actions or prizes in state and national competitions.
“What cannot be followed as it is. There is no legal certainty for us. It does not make sense to continue investing, putting money and not having this situation resolved. If this does not happen, we will be forced to leave and the impact on the Portuguese will be terrible. However, without the SAF, the Portuguese runs the risk of having the decreed failure. The traditional Club of San Paolo has no current plans or conditions to pay their debts.
