The star of the new version of “Rebelde” on Netflix, the actress Giovanna Grigio has finished shooting her first feature film as a protagonist. In a post published on Tuesday (26/7), she said that the work on the film “Perdida” was intense and transformed her.
“Yesterday I said goodbye to Sofia, and it’s hard to put into words what this whole process of ‘Lost’ was. Sofia came into my life to shake me inside and transform me, and I was as intense as she is, I hugged her. This journey crazy and I can say with the greatest joy in the world that I am so proud of this beautiful film we made, and that I feel ALIVE! I can’t wait for you to meet it too. “
To celebrate the end of filming, she released behind-the-scenes videos with actor Bruno Montaleone, whom she called “my prince”. He also spoke, saying that his character was “the most important in my trajectory so far”.
Produced by Filmland International in collaboration with the Star + platform, the film is based on the book of the same name by Carina Rissi, which pays homage to Jane Austen’s classic novels, and tells the story of Sofia (Gray), a modern and independent woman who, in a way from time to time, she is transported into a world similar to that depicted in works such as “Pride and Prejudice” and “Emma” – that is, in the midst of the English rural aristocracy of the early 17th to 18th century.
Welcomed by the Clarke family, she teams up with the young heir Ian (Montaleone) to try to find a way back home, if her heart allows.
It is worth mentioning that “Perdida” is only the first book in a series of 6 volumes, with over 700 thousand copies sold in Brazil alone.
The adaptation also includes Nathália Falcão (“Desalma”), Bia Arantes (“Orfãos da Terra”) and Luciana Paes (“Future Gallery”), and marks the directorial debut of the couple Katherine Chediak Putnam (director of “Tancredo: The Crossing “”) and Dean W. Law (Australian director of the short film “Inferno”).
The premiere is scheduled for 2023 in Brazilian cinemas.
