Conmebol was held on Monday (17), in Luque, in Paraguay, the draw of groups of the South American Cup of 2025. With seven Brazilian teams confirmed in the competition, the Brazil clubs already know the opponents who will have to face in the group stage, which will take place between 2 and 28 April. The tournament decision is scheduled for November 23 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in Bolivia.
The Brazilian clubs are distributed between the different jars of the draw, in particular the four teams that were key heads: Atletico-Mg, Fluminense, Grêmio and Cruzeiro. Vasco da Gama was in Pot 2, while Vitória and Corinzi, the latter, were eliminated in the preparers, went to Pot 4. The draw determined the clashes of the first phase of South America, where the first group places advance directly to the 16 round, while the second place will have to pass the playoff teams that finished the Libertadori group phase in third place.
