The film promises to show Cazuza’s intense trajectory through rare images and testimonials showing the backstage of the national rock icon
The intense and creative trajectory of Cazuza between 1987 and 1989 will be the subject of the documentary CAZUZA: GOOD NEWSwhich hits theaters in July 2025. The film revisits one of the artist’s most striking periods, when, even facing the worsening of his health due to the diagnosis of AIDS, he released three studio albums, received important awards and performed more than 40 performances of the showTime does not stopconsolidating its legacy in Brazilian music.
Directed by Nilo Romerowho was friends with the artist, composition partner and musical director of the iconic show Time does not stopthe documentary brings rare images, unpublished videos and testimonials from artists like Ney Matogrosso, Gilberto Gil, Frejat and Lucinha Araújo.
Production is signed by 5E60 Movies and will be distributed in partnership between the Short Cine Distribuidora (arm of Short channel!) and Kajá Moviesreinforcing the importance of keeping alive the history of big names of national culture.
