22 -year -old actor commented on latest recordings of the series and reflected on the impact of sudden success on his life
Finn Wolfhard spoke for the first time about the end of your character Mike Wheeler in Stranger Thingswhose fifth and last season is scheduled to debut in 2025 in the Netflix. In an interview with Peoplethe 22 -year -old Canadian actor said he felt happy with the outcome, but also “confused and sad”.
“I was very happy with his end, and I don’t know, I was satisfied, but also very confusing and sad, and at the same time very happy,” he said.
Wolfhard has been in the series since the premiere in July 2016, and commented that filming the final episodes was an intense experience:
“It looked like I was in a dream. Nothing looked real. I don’t know, it was perfect.”
The actor revealed that emotions were only understood the day after filming:
“It was like an emotional hangover. But the end was very good, and I only have positive things to say about everyone. The whole cast was until the last day, we were all together. It was very special.”
In the conversation, he also reflected on the sudden success he lived in childhood, when the series became a global phenomenon. According to him, if he could go back in time, he would seek psychological follow -up shortly after his debut:
“Maybe I came back at the time the series was released and put me straight into therapy. It was all very fast, there was no time to think about it.”
Even so, Wolfhard states that making mistakes is part of growth:
“Childhood, and life in general, is about attempt and error. We always end up missing one way or another.”
Stranger Things accompanies a group of adolescents in the 1980s facing supernatural forces and government experiments in the fictional city of HawkinsIndiana. In addition to Wolfhard, the main cast includes Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, SADIE SINK, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, NATALIA DYER, Charlie Heaton, Jamie Campbell Bower, David Harbor and Winona Ryder.
The fifth season has not yet revealed the plot, but should show the characters facing the consequences of the invasion of the inverted world and the Vecna villain, played by Jamie Campbell Bower.
