The body was found wrapped in a plastic bag, inside a jar of powder soap, hidden in a wardrobe in the courtyard of the family home
Eduarda Silva de Oliveira, 22 years old, mother of the newborn Ana Beatriz, confessed to having killed her daughter. The information was revealed by the Civil Police of Alagoas (PC-AL) during a press conference on Tuesday 15. The child’s body was found wrapped in a plastic bag inside a soap pot, hidden in a wardrobe in the courtyard of his own family.
According to PC-AL, Eduarda had presented five different versions on the case, including a history of kidnapping. He revealed where Ana Beatriz’s body was after having a conversation with the family’s defense lawyer.

The investigation began with the record of Ana Beatriz’s disappearance, made last Friday 11. In the first declaration to the police, Eduarda said that the daughter had been taken by four armed people in a stretch of BR-101, in the village of Euzébio, on the border with pernambuco. The neighbors informed the police that they listened to the cry of the child for the last time Thursday 10, a day before this alleged approach.
“He gave a version that were four people in the vehicle, three men and a woman, and that this vehicle would stop in the track stool and an approach conducted,” said deputy Igor Diego. “Two men would have fallen, they would bring the child from his arms with the strength and this vehicle would have followed pernambuco.”
The mother’s testimony began to raise suspicions after three witnesses reported information that did not coincide with the seizure version. The images of the security cameras have also weakened the initial narrative.
After learning the position of the body, the police went to the family home. After receiving the agents, Eduarda fell ill and had to be taken by ambulance to a hospital in the region. After being attended, she was sent to the integrated center for public security operations (Cisp), where she would have testified.
A man was even arrested in Vitória de Santo Antão (PE), after the police found a car with characteristics similar to those described by Eduarda. Inside the vehicle there were signs of other cars, which generated distrust. After providing clarifications, it was released and was discarded.
Ana Beatriz’s father, a driver, was in San Paolo for work and did not know his daughter. After being informed of the disappearance, he returned to Alagoas to accompany the research.
