Gilles Lelouch Trapped by the Russian State
In theaters this September 7, 2022, Kompromat is a brand new film from Jerome Salle. The one we owe to Anthony Zimmer, Largo Winch and Odysseus returns this year with a breathtaking thriller directed by the stunning Gilles Lelouch. The actor, recently seen in BAC Nord and Goliath, here portrays the victim of the scandal, Mathieu Roussel. This Russian term, which lends its name to the film, refers to the compromising of false documents intended to attack a person.
Loosely adapted from a true story, the feature film takes place in 2017 and immerses us in the hell of this man who is ready to do anything to prove his innocence. From his terrifying capture in Siberia to his incredible escape, will this Frenchman at the heart of a Russian conspiracy be able to regain his freedom?
Between a spy movie and an action thriller, Kompromat has a cast that is also worth watching. Before Gilles Lelouch, we find Joanna Kulig, who Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski revealed in Cold War. Alexei Gorbunov (Le Bureau des Légendes), Michael Gore (Le Pont des Espions) or even Louis-Do de Lencquesaing (Polisse) are the answer. See you in the fall!
