The Bridgerton Chronicle has made a name for itself since its first season on Netflix by raising the temperature, especially between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dinevoor) and the Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett (Regge-Jean Page). But this time, it’s the location of the series that literally caught fire.
The fire rose above the Wrotham Park estate, home to the historic mansion, which was due for production last Wednesday. Fans will recognize this stunning mansion as the backdrop for some of the show’s most memorable scenes, including the infamous game of Pall Mall – or the game of mail that is the ancestor of croquet – and, of course, the heartbreaking death. The scene of family patriarch Edmund Bridgerton (Rupert Evans).
Impressive photos of the fire were also published on Instagram by fans of the series:

More than 10 fire crews from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service and London Fire Brigade were sent to tackle the blaze. There was no information about the victim. Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Commander Keith Harland said this Subway :”The emergency management team worked very hard to successfully extinguish the fire so that it did not spread to the main building, which was our main concern.“
It is worth noting that the one-story brick building, which used to be the stable of the property, was engulfed in fire, smoke blackened the facade of the nearby country house. The stately home and other properties near the stables remained intact.
The incident comes just a week after Netflix announced to the public that filming for the third season of its original series was underway. And whereIt is not known whether the fire will affect filming of the show’s third season, which follows the love story of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Fetherington (Nicola Coughlan), also known as Lady Whistledown.
