After announcing a 2024 release date for the Fantastic 4 MCU version, Marvel boss Kevin Feige made an important clarification about the story.
Recently at San Diego Comic Con, Marvel announced that the Fantastic Four will usher in Phase 6 of the MCU and will be released on November 6, 2024.
After the dismal failure of the last feature film directed by Josh Trank in 2015, Marvel is taking matters into their own hands!
Kevin Feige, the big head of the studio, did not specify who will direct the film or who will portray the superheroes who make up this legendary team.
However, when questioned The Hollywood Reporter, the producer gave us a small detail that is important to the story. After two films from Tim Story and Josh Trank, the head of Marvel Studios promises that this work will leave us with an origin story.
“A lot of people already know the origin of the Fantastic Four. A lot of fans know the basics.
The idea is to figure out how to use these elements to create something that society has never seen before? We set the bar very high to bring it all to the screen.”she said.
Jon Watts, director of the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy, was originally in charge of the Fantastic 4 project before stepping down.
Marvel is still looking for a director at the moment. We’ll definitely know more (casting, director) during D23, Disney’s September 9-11 event.
The Human Torch, the Thing, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman will return to the big screen on November 8, 2024 in the US (November 6, France).
