What Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone thinks of all season 19 additions

The End of Grey’s Anatomy season 18 it left room for big changes at the Gray Sloan Memorial, with several characters leaving. While it’s unclear exactly how many of these actors will or won’t be returning with the medical drama this fall, one thing is certain: new surgeons are on their way to us. ABC announced several new regular series and Amelia Shepherd actress Caterina Scorsone shared her thoughts on the cast additions and provided a small update on season 19.

Amelia wasn’t one of the doctors who left Gray Sloan last season, so it’s safe to assume she’ll be interacting with the handful of new faces that adorn the hospital’s operating rooms. It seems that those introductions have been made and season 19 is officially in production, as Caterina Scorsone posted Twitter :

Storing lines for # 1901. It’s here. There will be updates. The classic cast is up and running. The new cast additions are exciting and beautiful. Inside and outside. Here we are.

There is a scenario! Caterina Scorsone confirmed that season 19 is on the way because she has some lines to learn. And I don’t have to be the only one counting Thursdays already. It’s also a relief that the actress mentions the “classic cast”, although we don’t know which returning actor she is referring to. I also like to know that Scorsone is excited about the new regular characters in the series.

ABC has announced the addition of five new cast members to join Grey’s Anatomy Season 19. Alexis Floyd, Shonda Rhimes’ invent ana plays Simone Griffin, a first-year resident of surgery. Niko Terho joins Season 19 as Lucas Adams along with Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane and Midori Francis, Term relationships. Like Floyd, all actors will play new surgical residents, which raises the question of what happened to the old residents afterwards. Gray Sloan was forced to shut down and rebuild his show ? Will we lose Levi Schmitt, Taryn Helm, Mabel Tseng and Zander Perez (say no!)? I can’t imagine that this is the case, but time will tell.

Those losses in the season 18 finale added to other characters that would disappear, at least temporarily: Richard (James Pickens Jr.) went on a gap year, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) retired, and Teddy and Owen (Kim Raver) and Kevin McKidd. ) escaped. It is also unclear whether the Minnesota characters will return this season, with Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith is apparently stuck in Seattle despite his desire to move, and tell Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman) to return to his life in Rochester.

One character from Minnesota that I really hope to see more of is Amelia’s love interest, Kai Bartley (ER Fightmaster). After “Kaimelia” seemed to be parting before the end Kai eventually showed up, telling Amelia they were devastated by how things turned out, giving us some hope that the couple could find a way to make it work. We will certainly continue to think about these casting possibilities as the new season approaches.

If you need advice first Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC on Thursday, October 6, all 18 seasons are available to stream with a netflix subscription . In the meantime, be sure to check ours TV program 2022 to see what new and recurring shows are coming soon.
