This was one of the plots that fans wanted to see before the final conclusion of Plus belle la vie. Last October, when he blackmailed Jacob (Christophe Morillon) into killing Baptiste (Brian Tresor), Cesar (Grant Lawrence) saw his plan backfire when the serial killer began threatening his loved ones.
To protect them, the young man agreed to die. He then said goodbye to his family and uncle and told them he was going to live in Canada. And after that emotional departure, no one heard from him, which didn’t bother them much.
It wasn’t until early July that Emma (Pauline Bression), who had a nightmare about her friend, asked Kevin (Theo Bertrand) to reopen the investigation to find out if Cesar was okay. and by asking the French Embassy in Canada, he discovered that Caesar had never set foot on North American soil.
Emma had no doubt then that something serious had happened to her. Then he and Rochat decided to file a complaint about the disturbing disappearance.
And after learning of her mother’s death last week, Emma began to doubt her little sister Camille’s (Lisa Cipriani) innocence in Alice’s murder, but also in Cesar’s disappearance. He convinced Kevin to investigate his girlfriend.
Days pass, two friends make disturbing discoveries. They will realize that Camille has been leading them all along and that she is Jacob’s accomplice, not his victim.

There is no more doubt for the duo: Camille knows where Cesar is. They then join forces to make him confess to his murder.
Kevin and Emma come up with the idea to trap Camille and take her to a mobile home that a young man has rented for a vacation. After two rookie investigators decide to lock Camille up until she tells the truth, but she remains silent.
Kevin then begs his girlfriend to tell the truth in the name of their love. Feeling confident, she decides to tell him everything. With this new information, the police then dig into the quarry and soon find Cesar’s body, much to the dismay of Kevin, Emma, and also Rochat, the young man’s uncle, who joins them.
The whole of Mistral is shocked by this news. Emma will also feel guilty and wonder if she could have saved the young man or if she just loved him instead. As for Camille, she will be placed in a psychiatric hospital.
