Who eats the most on set? Who is late most often? Who does the most stunts? Brad Pitt and the ‘Bullet Train’ crew reveal the secrets of filming… in sniper mode.
In the movie, in theaters this Wednesday, August 3, they don’t give each other any gifts. In real life, not so much. But the result is funnier and less scary. Brad Pitt, Joey King, Brian Tyree-Henry, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and director David Leitch gathered in front of our cameras while visiting Paris and talked to us about the secrets of filming Bullet Train. Like real snipers.
Who eats the most on set? Who is late most often? Who gives the most nicknames to others? Who does their own stunts? The questions are varied, the laughter frequent and the constant good humor in the team, which shows a real sense of participation. Even before the cameras rolled in.
On the big screen, it’s a different story. Inspired by Kotaro Isaka’s novel of the same name, Bullet Train takes us to Japan on the fastest train cars in the world. This is where the hapless assassin tries to complete his mission, but after several failures, he gets back on his feet. But that doesn’t account for the existence of other formidable opponents with very different agendas.
Former stuntman David Leitch signs his fifth feature film here, John Wick (co-directed with Chad Stahelski, who was then directing), Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw. And it’s the first time he’s actually directed Brad Pitt since his run in a Marvel movie. A collaboration that, in the end, is not so surprising, since the director was a star studier in Fight Club, Troy or even Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
