The American pay channel renewed the “Good Trouble” series for a fifth season.

The series is one of the most watched attractions among women ages 18-34 on traditional pay TV (with ads) in the United States.

Originally conceived as a spin-off production of “The Fosters: Foster Family”, the attraction follows adoptive sisters Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez), characters introduced in “The Fosters”, now in their adult lives at Los Angeles .Angeles. However, actress Maia Mitchell, who played Callie Foster for nine years – since the premiere of “The Fosters” in 2013 – left “Good Trouble” at the start of season 4, shown in March, to be close to her family. in Australia, distressed after being distant throughout the period of the pandemic.

Despite this, creator and showrunner Joanna Johnson is not ruling out her return for cameos.

“She will always be part of the family and I don’t think it’s the last time we’ve seen Callie,” Johnson told Variety. “Callie’s journey is happening off-screen, but we’re going to catch up with her.”

With this change in status in the core cast, season five will focus more on the complicated lives of the residents of The Coterie, a community building in downtown Los Angeles where lead character Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) lives.

The series is still unreleased in Brazil.
