Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba in ‘Three Thousand Years of Wishes’

The network has new footage from the film “Three Thousand Years of Wishes” – the work of director George Miller (“Mad Max”) with Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton in the lead roles. Miller also acted as screenwriter. The footage was presented by the film company “Volga”, which will release the tape in Russian distribution.

Based on the book “The Genie in the Nightingale’s Eye” (known from the novels “Possess” and “Children’s Book”), based on the novella by British writer Antonia Susan Byatt, the film, based on the book “The Genie in the Nightingale’s Eye” glass bottle, took place at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival.

“Three Thousand Years of Wishing” tells about the explorer Alicia Binney, who discovered a lamp with a genie imprisoned in it. The woman releases a magical creature, for which the genie promises to grant her three wishes. The meeting between Alicia and the genie leads to consequences that neither of the heroes could have expected.

Russian viewers will be able to watch the film from 8 September.
