Cases in which the main actors have not agreed to make movie sequences

There are cases in which celebrities have refused to work in the film sequels. The writers had to find a way to disappear with the character or direction has chosen another actor for the same role. See some examples.

Natalie Portman participated in the first two films of the Thor saga in 2011 and 2013, but did not want to participate in the 2017 edition due to a change in the direction: Patty Jenkins by Alan Taylor. He played Jane Foster, Amata Thor.

Without him (photo), the Council chose to put another actor, Jason Patric, who played another police officer. Reeves’ character finished the relationship with the character of Sandra Bullock, another protagonist. The most impact scene was the invasion of a ship.

Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins (2005). However, he refused to follow because he was more focused on the realization of comic films.

So, in 2008, in Batman: The Dark Knight, the character was played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. The two films were part of a trilogy written by Christopher Nolan. In the third feature, in 2012, the character initially played by Holmes appeared.

Crispin Glover played George Mcfly in the film returning to the future, one of the most famous in cinema. However, he refused to participate in the continuation of 1989. This is all because of financial disagreements and also on the script.

Direction then called Jeffrey Weissman to replace George Crispin. The new actor used the other way, as well as visual effects.

Another classic film is a Goblin in New York (2003), with Will Ferrell. He received a proposal of $ 29 million to create the sequel, but refused.
