Movie Quiz: In which movies do we see this treasure? Only archaeologists will have any good!

The Ark of the Covenant contains the famous tables of the Law of Moses. The Grail used to collect Christ’s blood during his crucifixion. King Solomon’s legendary mines and his untold wealth. An equally famous treasure of the Templars, which we have lost track of and which some enthusiasts are still actively searching for.

Of course, without forgetting, for good measure, the amazing treasure discovered by British archaeologist Howard Carter in November 1922 from the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. A treasure that would also be the source of the Curse of the Pharaoh, a myth created in the early 20th century and very much recounted in the newspapers of the time.

Of course, these are just a few examples of treasures that are widely mentioned in movies, works involving adventurous archaeologists, sometimes hired without faith or law, provided that riches are at the end of the road. It’s obviously a long and dangerous road, of course, ultimately reaching the rarity and/or power of the desired objects.

Another character influence: Charlton Heston, alias Harry Steele, in Secret of the Incas, 1954. Before donning the tunic of Ben-Hur, the actor played adventurers in the jungles of Peru in search of fabled treasure. We tell ourselves that George Lucas must watch the film over and over again, because Heston’s panoply lays the foundation for the future Indiana Jones: a three-day beard, a leather jacket and a fedora hat are on the menu!
