Christopher Mcquarrie stated that the third movie in the series Top Gun“It’s already guaranteed”. The comments of the screenwriter and director come after the lines of Tom Cruise about your involvement in initial sequence conversations.
Mcquarrie and Cruise have been working together for 10 years. Besides having participated in the direction and script of the latest films Mission: ImpossibleChristopher also scripted Top Gun: Maverick (2022).
Mcquarrie spoke about an upcoming movie in the series that started in 1986 in an interview with the podcast Happy sad confused (via NME):
