Marvel ignored this cataclysm for 3 movies and fans are laughing

In The Eternals, the cataclysm was averted by a team of superheroes at the end of the film. This major event was then completely ignored in the subsequent MCU films. Something that upset a few fans.

Released on November 3, 2021, The Eternals has blown Marvel fans away with this amazing new superhero team.

Directed by Chloe Zhao, the feature film brought in 402 million on a budget of 200 million, a disappointing performance for Marvel, although the film impressed.

In France, it drew 1.7 million viewers, also a relatively low score for a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

That being said, since Eternity we’ve been treated to 3 more Marvel-stamped feature films: Spider-Man No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2, and Thor 4.

The main event told in the work of Chloe Zhao was completely ignored in these 3 subsequent films, as pointed out by many Internet users on social networks.

In the end, our heroes were able to stop the destruction of Earth by the celestial Tiamut. The latter’s head and hand emerge from the surface of the blue planet before being frozen by the protagonists’ actions.

This cataclysmic event, which could not go unnoticed by the Marvel superheroes (and the whole world), seems to have had no consequences. No one mentions this disaster in No Way Home, Strange 2, or Thor 4.

This didn’t upset (or amuse) fans, who took to social media to lash out and point the finger. “The giant guy that rises from the surface of the earth that no one talks about”.

Some have argued that Marvel would prefer to sweep this episode under the rug due to the film’s poor reception by fans. Will it be mentioned in the MCU’s future? Nothing less sure!
