Mad Max: First photo of Anya Taylor-Joy in Furiosa reveals important detail about heroine

Shooting on June 1, Furiosa, the prequel to Mad Max Fury Road, has unveiled the first shot of heroine Anna Taylor-Joy, revealing an intriguing detail.

Released in theaters on May 14, 2015, Mad Max Fury Road impressed, bringing in a modest $375 million worldwide. In France, George Miller’s film had 2.3 million viewers.

In the face of this success, the director returned to produce Furiosa, a prequel that focused on Fury Road’s heroine, the campy Charlize Theron. The latter stole the show from Tom Hardy, who played Mel Gibson in the original films.

Very popular with fans, this character is interpreted in a young version by Anya Taylor-Joy, a rising Hollywood star (The Witch, Split, Le Jeu de la Dame). The latter appears for the first time in a fighter’s suit on footage of a shooting in Australia.

The actor wears dark and dirty clothes typical of a post-apocalyptic saga. However, a small detail sheds light on the physical aspect of Furiosa, already introduced in the first part.
