Being one of the most passionate cable series around, Starz’s equally romantic and brutal drama Foreigner is set to follow the shortened sixth season of 2022 with the largest batch of episodes since season 1. Additionally, it was revealed earlier this year that the network is brainstorm for a prequel project based inside Foreignerthe historical setting. Now, Starz has given fans something to celebrate by not only confirming the prequel’s existence in development, but also releasing some great details about it.
First, the project now has an official title: Outlander: Blood of my blood, and I don’t think that will open the dizzying vampire chaos series. The usage in this case refers strictly to genealogical lines, although I can easily imagine that more than a little blood will be shed for both blessed reasons (like childbirth ) and harmful.
Something similar to the next Winchester prequel to the long-running hit of The CW Supernatural, Outlander: Blood of my blood “It will follow Jamie Fraser’s parenting romance,” according to Starz’s announcement. In case anyone wonders where Sam Heughan’s character learned to be so lucid, this show aims to prove that the sexy apple didn’t fall far from the sexy tree. Or perhaps something far more poetic and insightful than Sexy Trees.
The network has confirmed that the writers room is currently in session for the new prequel project, which it will have Foreigner Matthew B. Roberts is multi-dash as lead writer and showrunner, as well as executive producer. Roberts was a writer and an EP Foreigner Since his debut, he is the current showrunner of the flagship series and has also served as an episode director and second unit director on many others. The author of the book series, Diana Gabaldon, will be involved behind the scenes as a consultant producer ForeignerRonald D. Moore’s television developer will serve as executive producer on the new series.
