The embargo was informed on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing of Japan (MAFF). The measure is valid from June 9 in Campinápolis and from June 14 for the products of Santo Antônio da Barra, according to the dates of the notifications of the disease in the municipalities.

The suspension occurs after the registers of the highest influence with a high pathogenicity (IAPP) in the chickens of subsistence production (courtyard fund) in both municipalities, cases confirmed by Ministry of Agriculture. In addition to the new embargo, the Japanese government maintains the suspension of Montenegro products, Rio Grande do Sul, where the first case of swirling influence was confirmed in the country.

The World Health Organization of animal (OMSA) provides that notifications on wild birds and existence do not bring restrictions on the international trade in poultry products and do not interfere with the country’s health status.
