Amazon has announced the date of the premiere of the second season of “Manhãs de Setembro”, a Brazilian series starring singer Liniker. The attraction returns with new episodes on September 23 on the Prime Video platform.
The date was revealed along with a poster (in two formats), which brings the cast together and records for the first time the participation of Seu Jorge (“Marighella”) and Samantha Schmütz (“Tô Ryca!”). Main novelty of the season, she will live the parents of Cassandra, the character of Linker.
In the story, Cassandra (Liniker) is a trans woman whose independence is jeopardized when she discovers she has a son, Gersinho (Gustavo Coelho), with an ex-girlfriend (Karine Teles). Not wanting to accept the status of a father, she rejects her son, but soon discovers that her life is turned upside down.
Season 2 will follow Cassandra’s life unfolding after she comes out as a father, as her life radically changes, deepening her sense of out of control.
Produced by O2 Filmes, the series has a screenplay by Josefina Trotta (“Amigo de Aluguel”), Alice Marcone (“Born to Fashion”) and Marcelo Montenegro (“Lili, an ex”), directed by Luis Pinheiro (“Samantha” ) and Dainara Toffoli (“Amigo de Aluguel”), and also includes Thomas Aquino (“Bacurau”), Clodd Dias (“Delivery to Jezebel”), Gero Camilo (“Carandiru”), singer Paulo Miklos (“California “)”), the girl Isabela Ordoñez (“Thirteen days away from the sun”) and the singer and former BBB Linn da Quebrada (“Second Call”) in a special participation.
